Hello! I'm Drew Maks. (he/him)
I'm an artist, graphic designer, and game master from the suburbs of Philly, currently living in Portland, Oregon. My passion for art, love of improvisational theatre, and lifelong obsession with sci-fi and fantasy inspired me to create content for tabletop roleplaying games.
My love of sci-fi began early, watching episodes of ’90s-era Star Trek with my parents and raiding my father’s VHS collection for Star Wars movies. I was introduced to the works of Tolkien by a family friend who told me all about the hobbits of the Shire. The Fellowship of the Ring premiered in IMAX when I was eleven, and I rushed headlong into fantasy, dreaming of my own adventures.
I earned my degree in studio arts and philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. I began a career as a graphic designer and I took on the adventure of a lifetime by moving across the country.
Once in Portland, I dove headfirst into Dungeons & Dragons 5e and rediscovered my childhood daydreams of being a wizard. Soon, other TTRPGs like Blades in the Dark, Call of Cthulu, Mörk Borg, and Mothership filled my bookshelves, my YouTube history, and every table I owned. Now, my weekly game of D&D serves as a constant source of inspiration. TTRPGs are my favorite tool for fostering creativity, forging friendships, and creating new memories, all while laughing for hours on end.
